Mandarin Oriental Hotel Hyde Park (built 1889), formerly a Gentlemen's Club, and then the Hyde Park Hotel (1902-1996), Knightsbridge SW11, London.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Hyde Park is the most beautiful hotel that I've ever stepped foot in.

sexy "LOCALS" DEPARTMENT STORE - HARVEY NICHOLS

Harvey Nichols, founded in 1813, is an upmarket department store chain. It's flagship store, pictured hers, is in Knightsbridge, but has expanded to other cities in England and as far as Dublin and Saudi Arabia. It offers many of the worlds most prestigious brands in womanswear, menswear, accessories, beauty, food, and home. In addition to its fashion retailing business, Harvey Nichols redeveloped the top floor to create a restaurant bar, cafe, wine shop, and food market. It attracts younger shoppers than it's rival Harrods but tends be be more expensive.

I'd recommend fashion shopping & dining at Harvey Nichols & food shopping at Harrods.

The store occupies a 4.5-acre (18,000 m 2) site and has over one million square feet of selling space in over 330 departments.

The owner of Harrod's is Mohammed al-Fayed, Dodi al-Fayed's father, and he has a quiet memorial to Princess Di and Dodi in one of the elevator lobbies.

Fortnum & Mason, often shortened to just "FORTNUM'S", is a department store situated in Piccadilly, London and established in 1707 by William FORTNUM and Hugh MASON. It's fame rests most entirely on it's upmarket food hall, though only two of it's several floors are devoted to food.

30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin) is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London. It is widely known by the name "The Gherkin" and occasionally as a varient on The Swiss Re Tower, after its previous owner and principal occupier. It is 180 meters (591 ft) tall, making it the second tallest building in the City of London, after Tower 42, and the sixth tallest in London as a whole.

The building's name is its address - St Mary Axe being the street it is on.
The building was designed by Prizker Prize-winner LORD FOSTER and ex partner KEN SHUTTLEWORTH and Arup engineers, and was constructed by Skanska of Sweden between 2001 and 2004. However, despite Foster taking complete credit for the design, industry insiders advise that Shuttleworth, who later founded his own design studio, MAKE, was the primary source of the radical and innovative design of the structure.

Hotel de Crillon in Paris is one of the oldest and most exclusive luxury hotels in the world. It is located on the foot of the Champs-Elysees at No. 10 on the north end of Place de la Concorde.

Buddah Bar is about to open its first 5 star hotel in Prague this autumn 2008, followed by Panama, Dominican Republic, Paris, Egypt and Dubai's "The World" Island project.


Prague is a destination on the top of my list for travel and the Buddah Bar Hotel in Prague is where I'd love to stay.

L'Occitane en Provence is an international retailer of body, face and home products. The company was founded in 1976 by Oliver Baussan and is based in Manosque, France . The name L'Occitane means "the woman from O'ccitania" - O'ccitane being the region we know today as Provence.

My favorite soaps and skins creams are by L'Occitane. A list of my four favorite products are:

Fauchon is a luxury food shop in Paris, similar in stature to Fortnum & Mason in London. Fauchon was founded in 1886 by Auguste Fauchon. There are many stores in France, as well as worldwide, but their flagship store is located on the place de la Madeleine in the 8e arrondissement of Paris.


When ever I visit Paris I love to visit this beautiful store. There I'll pick up a few pink boxes filled with delicate chocolates to take back for friends and family.

In the U.S.A Fauchon chocolates can be found at various Neiman Marcus stores.
